If you want to stock up on culinary delicacies for the cold season at home, we can recommend the autumn markets in the Jura, where you can buy fresh regional products from the Jura. These include the tasty truffles from Bonvillars.

Who likes to spend as much time as possible outdoors eating? You can also immerse yourself in the Neuchâtel tradition with your friends. This includes a torrée, also known as a “shepherd’s fire.” This traditionally takes place in the fall when the cattle are no longer out on the pastures. A fire is then lit in an open area of the pasture, and potatoes and Neuchâtel sausages (which can be bought in local butchers’ shops everywhere) are cooked in the embers.

Popular places for this include La Robella, Mont Racine, La Sagne, Pouillerel, Mont d’Amin, and Pré-Louiset. More tips here. And the various fall markets?

Rusty brown, fiery red or golden yellow? Here you can choose your own fall color scheme.
