SEAZEN TRAVEL TALKS
Switzerland & Shanghai
June 4, 2026 · 6 p.m. · AP House, Bahnhofstrasse
On June 4, Seazen and Audemars Piguet open the doors of AP House on Zürich’s Bahnhofstrasse. Two talks, one dinner, an evening in English. Two worlds with more in common than you might think at first glance. During the flying dinner, Audemars Piguet presents an exclusive Touch & Try session: selected timepieces to handle, try on, and explore—no display case in between.

Switzerland
Four hours, four languages, one rhythm.
Switzerland—and the question that rarely gets asked this directly: What actually makes this country what it is? And who gets to decide?
Switzerland is small enough to cross in four hours. And complex enough to spend a lifetime trying to understand. Four languages, twenty-six cantons, more than two thousand lakes. More Michelin stars per capita than any other country in the world. What’s left once you set the clichés aside? Two perspectives, one country.
Talking about it: Seazen writer Andrin Willi—certified hotelier-restaurateur, former editor-in-chief of marmite, Salz&Pfeffer, and Vinum. Twenty years of Swiss hospitality, observed from the inside.
Joining him on stage: Alexandre Berthelot, Director of AP House Zürich—the first AP address in Switzerland. Before that, he led the opening of the first AP boutique in Great Britain. Over a decade in the luxury industry, three languages, an international take on Swiss hospitality.
Shanghai
35 years, one skyline.
Thirty million people. The longest metro network in the world. A district called Pudong that, thirty-five years ago, was still made up of rice paddies. And a logic Deng Xiaoping once put this way: “It doesn’t matter whether the cat is black or white—as long as it catches mice.”
Seazen writer Dr. Thomas Hauer traveled to Shanghai and wrote about a city that pulls its visitors in, that astonishes, indulges, and amuses. Live on the night, he’ll share what he experienced—including his visit to the AP House there. A PhD in literary studies and philosophy, longtime restaurant inspector for a leading German gastronomy guide, author and editor of several books on taste. His second passion alongside food: Asia.

Giorgi Gigashvili at the Steinway
Highlight of the evening
Giorgi Gigashvili is one of the most remarkable pianists of his generation—ECHO Rising Star 2025/26, BBC New Generation Artist, winner of the Vigo International Piano Competition with Martha Argerich as jury chair. On the night, he’ll play a live concert for the guests on the Steinway Spirio. Organized by our partner Musik Hug.
Uli Maybach
Moderation of the evening
Seazen writer, raised between Germany and the United States, at home anywhere there’s something out of the ordinary to see: trekking in the Ruwenzori Mountains, heliskiing in Alaska’s Tordrillos, a week on the Camino de Santiago, a cave house in Cappadocia. On the side, he works with Mercedes-Maybach at events like the Hotel du Cap during the Cannes Film Festival, or the Concours at Pebble Beach.
This evening, he moderates the two talks and the conversation between the worlds of Switzerland and Shanghai.
